FSU-997S, you're right, a bit more won't change much in the big picture, no matter how you slice it. Yes, the stack of bills is bigger, but it's tough to justify spending that much dough on a "compromise". If you're a few grand away from making it just the way you would dream it, plunge.

I was just looking at the 2006 Order guides. Weird. They moved the option "P01L Adaptive sport seats lthr Int" to the "Interior Options in Leather" sections.
You can see it costs $2,695. Instead of "P01 Adaptive Sport Seats" which cost $3,055. You save $360.
"PO1L" L is for leather interior.
In the 2006 997 Order guide it's on page 22.
In the 2006 997 S Order guide it's on page 43.

bottom half of the leather console (option XMZ) is covered
with a protective film. That looks awful, at least on my
stone grey interior color.

What do you mean, they put film on the lower part of the leather ? Any more pis of what you're referring to ?

Stradale, here's another pic of it from the other side.
It was taken with a flash. The flash makes the film on the
sides of the center console much more visible. The film
protects the leather console from being scratched by moving
seats and the seat belt locks.

a cloth pad on the seat belt lock. I don't know whether that
is standard or is a feature that comes with the leather console.
BTW, at least in my FireFox browser the displayed pictures
are smaller than the pics I have uploaded. If the pics are
saved to disk and viewed from there, they show up with their
original size.
