    996 Aircon problems

    Help please, has anyone suffered aircon failure, ie no cooling, if so what was the problem. My compressor is fine, recharged system two months ago, one month after bought car, used car today system seems to have lost pressure, is there a common fail point. Any help appreciated before I go to my French Porsche dealer.

    Should be a sensor or a thermostat (un ptit capteur mort ou en court jus).

    If you initially recharged the system two months ago because AC was not working then, and now it is not working again after having worked in the meantime, then it sounds like you had a small leak which had not been detected by the workshop?

    Many thanks to Krlo and Fritz, I think fritz you have the answer. Having read Renn tech last night seems that corrosion in one of the condensers seems favourite. Time to investigate.

    Stripping it down his week and picking up a new condenser from Porsche main dealer in Bordeaux. Will report if successful by end the week

    Two new condensers fitted by myself and all is working fine again. Many thanks for the input to all and especially those at Renntech for the step by step guide to the front end removal
