What's the temperature like now at the track ?
I am planing to put my RS now to sleep for the winter . A bit early, but I am not going to do any other track days and driving on the roads is too frustrating .
And when will your car get a proper faster then white deco ?

Right now the mornings are below 10, but by afternoon it will get to 12-14.
Hoosier R7 right now on the CS, takes a couple laps to get them up in temperature decent temperature, but they are properly sticky enough. Run slightly less pressure than normal to start with just to make sure the tire moves around and generate additional heat. Almost end of the season and I am not gonna waste a set of Pirelli DH slicks.
Track is still green and not rubbered in yet, but we have enough banked turns to add load to stress the tires to make sure they get heated up.

Like here .
So you are getting to the end of the season I suppose . Enjoy .
In spring you' ll have nice surprise when the tires will be even more sticky !

Spend another full day at the track yesterday, got my passenger seat installed and was basically giving out passenger rides all day. It's also demo day at the track with Ariel Atoms, Felino cars and NASA NP01 on hand. Members were trying out track cars to see which one they want to order over winter and have them ready for spring.
Kees Nierop popped by and took the car out for a spin, well a full 20 mins session. He didn't actually want to come back in when the session ends but fuel was low. He casually did a 2:15 in traffic.
Later in the afternoon I got some pros to take the car out for some hot laps passenger rides, Scott Hargrove managed a 2:10 with a 200lb+ passenger. That basically means I have to make up another 10 seconds somewhere lol.
Our track will be closed in a couple weeks time so the crew can do some maintenance and modifications to some of the retaining walls as we have a good idea now after 2 months of running.
Can't wait till spring.
My Cayenne Turbo S has become the default choice to get to the track now, It has 4000km on it and only 400km were driven inside Vancouver, the rest was spent commuting between Vancouver and the track.

What, you aren't getting an RV to live in at the track?

I've just ordered a winter tire set for the RS. Why don't you send the car somewhere in southern Italy and enjoy it for a couple of weekends during the winter? I am planning to drive from Munich to Andermatt on Wednesday with the summer tires, hopefully it won't be a problem. Someone here posted pictures of a great hotel there (The Chedi) and I will give it a try.

You should be ok this week, but this week end there could be snow in the mountains . Just don't stay too long ! It will be a very pretty drive at this time of the year with the autumn colors and light .
In winter , I am in the mountains every week end , so sending my car to south Italy is not an option + would be a bit complicated with the family The good thing about putting the car to sleep for the winter month is that when spring comes, I feel I am getting a new car and have again so much pleasure just driving it around country roads, while now , after all the tracks, I get frustrated on public roads

Maybe time for a visit to Canada (how are the border waiting times now, not too many Americans fleeing the US? ).

I have the whole 6 parts series on DVD already, but the plan was to release them one per week on Youtube, and I will keep to that schedule. I missed posting the 1st part last week as I was away.
Porsche Canada has already visited the track last week, and wheels are already in motion to have events there.
