Formula 1 2024!!

New season is coming up, and the current big news? Alpha Tauri got a new name!

Visa Cash App RB F1...........I think that's it, or maybe I forgot some more words.

Wonder how Crofty and gang is going to call the races.

I don’t see how this works with a start only in 25. Better to let him go now, mentally won’t be the same racing in 24 if everyone knows he is moving in 25….

Despite how we like to make fun of Ferrari in F1, Ferrari IS F1.

Every driver on the grid, if given the chance, will not hesitate for one second to sign and drive for Ferrari. Verstappen included.

If this is indeed true, and Hamilton wins another championship with ANOTHER team, that would be a historic legacy that no others will match.

Heck, the timing could work out that if Hamilton do make the switch, and once he finally retired, Verstappen will be ready to sign onto Ferrari and take Hamilton's old seat.

What comes next at Ferrari? Activity scooters? The question remains what is the Ferrari team going to look like in 2025? One seat for Hamilton but will changes be made for the other seat too? Many questions over a long 2024 season. However, this all benefits Liberty Media and the Netflix show.

With Leclerc recently extended and today's signing of Hamilton, Sainz will be looking for a seat in 2025 and so will Mercedes be looking for a driver.

Verstappen is off the market for a while, and the 2 McLaren drivers also.

Toto has a few choices, he could do a Sainz Hamilton swap, or he could steal Albon from Williams. Maybe even Alonso be like fuck this Aston shit, I want to drive for the big team.

Which team would want to upgrade their driver to Sainz? Haas is out of it, they can't afford to pay anything. Baby Red Bull? Yuki's seat is firm from Honda money and is Sainz more or less or equal to Ricciardo?

Sauber seems to be the natural fit. Bottas' contract runs out 2024. Audi is taking over and Sainz Sr is an Audi driver. Will be fun seeing Sr and Jos duking it out in pit lane for their sons.

That image was actually taken several years ago with a 997 as a placeholder. The 997 is removed and the mask made for the image of the updated car. Audi had a similar photo shoot around the same time on Adams near Dearborn with the Citadel building in the background. That image, when taken, had the previous generation A8 as the placeholder. There also a few images floating around of a couple of River North parking structures.

Whoopsy, doesn’t Leclerc prefer a car with a strong front and Hamilton one with a strong rear? If I’m correct one of the drivers will be sacrificed and because I don’t see Lewis signing a deal to be second driver, I bet he requested the 2025 car to be made to his liking. How Ferrari will manage this mess, I don’t know… From my point of view hiring Lewis is a bad move.

I guess every F1 driver dreams of driving for Ferrari at least one season. Lewis knows how the Merc car will be for 2024 and 2025 is the last season with the current regulations. Not being happy with mercedes and at the (presumable) end of his F1 career, with Ferrari being better than the last few years... I think this was THE opportunity for him, especially since he seems to have had a 1 + 1 year contract with Mercedes so it was relatively easy to get out of the contract.

I guess for Lewis it is a gamble to see if he can have some success at Ferrari in his last few years.

The team dynamics are going to be interesting; how will Lewis the old veteran do in a completely new team, versus the crown prince who knows the team inside-out?

And for Ferrari; is this part of a longer term vision, or were they just eager to snap up the veteran now they knew he wasn't having a good time at Mercedes?

Coming season is shaping up to be a fun one!

Yes, Leclerc prefers a more oversteering car, like all young ones right now and Hamilton is the part of the old school clan that prefers a slight understeering car.

But honestly, Hamilton is the most versatile driver on the grid, he's been through so many rule changes. He will maximize whatever he can with whatever car, unlike others on the grid he isn't a one trick pony. Him and Alonso are the last of their kinds.

Only time will tell if this is a Schumacher move, or a Alonso/Vettel move. That script hasn't been written yet.
