997 wind noise

Hi all,

I have a 05/2005 build 997 and have about 6000km (black ext. & black int.).

From about 2000km I noticed an increase of wind noise coming from the window door.
I used to drive a 996 and a 993 before that and there's a lot more wind noise in the 997 compared to the 996.

It starts at about 120 km/h and it gets worse when it's windy outside.

Dealer tested it out, tried taping parts of the car but could not find a solution.
They tried another 997 to compare and this one had the same problem...

Anyone notice this?

I seem to have the same problem from the driver side door. My car has 1400 miles, and it has been there since the beginning. I will probably take it in for a checkup soon.
Anyone else?

977 miles and the wind noise is killing me. Took it in to the dealer and they said "yep, its wind noise all right, cant fix it though." Sweet. Just what I would expect from my 100k car!

I haven't noticed anything. Someone said earlier that the side mirror design causes a lot of wind noise

I recall one of the UK owners had a similar problem ? Grant ? Fixed with new window/door seal or passenger side mirror.

I presume that it can be this... If i'm correct the new mirrors are designed to let the air flow stronger along the sides of the car and towards the rear wing...
Just my 2cents worth...
