    GT3 questions

    Does the GT3 have equal length headers?

    The GT3 does have equal length pipes into a collector. Take a look at http://www3.us.porsche.com/english/usa/911/gt3/engine/exhaustsystem.htm

    Those are not equal length headers. Equal length is not each pipe, but the distance from the exhaust outlet to the collector. Standard headers have different lengths with the exhaust traveling shorter distance to the collertor. This translates into varying air flow in the exhaust. The equal length basically evens the flow out allowing better flow through the same restriction. This is an equal length header....

    Yep, you're right. The pipes from the cylinder head in the photo I linked to look to be the same length from cylinder head to collector but because they connect at different points on the collector pipe the effect isn't the same as an equal length header.
