THE NEXT INTERESTING new Porsches are the coming Boxster and Boxster (Today's News June 12, 2002), but the following shop stopper might be this one: The cabriolet version of the Porsche 911 Turbo - caught by one of our spies along the German Nürburgring, the part of the track named der Nordschleife.
Our pictures the evidence that Porsche is planning to outbreak Ferrari's forthcoming F360 Modena. Despite its disguise, there's no hiding the fact this is the most fearsome soft-top yet from the Germans. The distinctive large front headlamps, deep airdam and intake and side air-scoops are all clear, while unique 18-inch alloy wheels and fixed whale-tail add further distinguishing marks.
The 420-HP 3.6-litre twin-turbo flat-six engine known from the 911 Coupe will power the 140,000-Euros beast. The new car will officially be launched at the Paris Motor Show in October this year.
