Mine is at PFAFF, and I haven't picked it up yet (I'm getting a few things done to it before I pick it up).
Does the front spoiler rub on the ramps at DFC? (my old car just cleared the ramps, and I was just wondering because it's a similar grade in my driveway).
Maybe I'll see you driving up and down Avenue Rd.

Im really happy with it.
It is just so much more enjoyable to drive than the 996C2 I had before.
The car is so solid, absolutely no creaks and the induction howl at 7000rpm is incredible, literally makes my spine tingle.

What work are you getting done to your car?
The front lip does not touch at all. You do have to be careful, but I am already used to it, since my old car was lowered.
The ride height on the car is perfect. I've heard of some guys in the US complaining that the ride height was too high, mine is definitely lower but perfect.
The only thing I dont like about the car is the stereo system. Its bad. I also dont like the shifter. Even though it is a short throw shifter, shorter than traditional shifters, I am used to the B&M which has a much more precise feel. Once you have tried B&M its difficult to go back. I mean there is nothing wrong with the shifter but I would prefer B&M.
The only other issue I have is with a rattling noise at 2000rpm which stops at 2100rpm. I was wondering if anyone else hears this. It occurs only when the car is warm. Its not the rear differential.
Dealer checked it out, nothing shows up on the diagnostics, but wondering if RC you can help me out - not sure if it should be normal or not.
Anyways the car is a blast. Problem is everyone wants to race you. On the week end I ran with an M5, left him behind, the GT3 is just so brutal when you are in 3rd gear on the highway at 5000rpm when you drop the throttle and run it up to 7000 the induction howls and the car just unloads, its incredible, the M5 couldnt keep up.

The M5 was coming up behind me, I think he was interested in the car since its the first GT3 around.
When I saw him come up I just dropped the throttle, he couldnt catch up, I saw he was coming hard at first but when I dropped the throttle and ran it up to 7200rpm I just took off, he wasnt even close.

Well as everyone else seems to be doing it...
Two pics of my Mk2 GT3, two months old now and about 3000miles so you could say it has seen a bit of action!
For our American viewers the car is quite an improvement in the key areas where the original Mk1 was prone to critisism, namely brakes, mid range and high speed lift.
Had my Mk1 for 3 years covering about 30,000 miles and was worried that the new car would not live up to the raw energy of the original.
Glad to report that my fears are completely unfounded as the MK2 is the best Porsche I have ever driven. By miles. So there.
Can't make any comment on the Stereo as I only want to listen to the engine all the way round to 8200 :grin:
I would think long and hard before changing the gearshift. Porsche have made many changes to the MK2 gearbox as the Mk1 could sometimes be a bit "problematic". I would imagine, and I am happy to be corrected, that throw is quite long to further aid the durability of the 'box. If it was a shorter throw there would be an increased load on the Syncro's.
Personally I think it is fine, but that is just me!!
