One should also add that the new Elon Musk biography by Walter Isaacson and the issues of the Alien Dreadnaught was similar to General Motors’ late 1980s technology venture at its Saganaw Gear division. If one recalls correctly GM invested over a $1 billion back than to build a lights out component facility that was shuttered in a brief period of operation because it simply didn’t work. That was Roger Smith.

Actually they just copied Tesla to the fullest. That's how Elon operates.
