    4 min video of Aston V8 Vantage..

    Found this video on autocar website, the car is the finished product! makes good viewing but the music overlay spoils the engine sound! go to wwww.autocar.co.uk/movies.asp
    autocar mag comes out today in the uk, it has a special supplement on astons including a road test of V8!

    I can't wait for the AMV8 to hit the USA, I plan to test one this winter. The Aston dealer in Naples, Florida where I frequently travel to in wintertime says they should have one by this October-hopefully, AM will build enough so American dealers can show them off!

    I'm hoping they make a supercharged and convertible version as promised. But I still want to see and touch the intro. coupe in the flesh!

    I agree, except for some classic 007 jingles in the background, I wish the autocar video emphasized the V8 engine's purr.

    I forgot one question: Any good rumours from the UK re. timing of possible release of a supercharged/convertible variant?

    For a long time I lusted for the 911 Turbo...now that I can finally afford the 997tt...outcomes the AMV8. Great looking car, not as powerful, but the supercharged version could be interesting. Our local dealer in Chicago has invited me to a 13 October showing of this car. Please let me know too about the supercharger, my dealer doesn't want to talk about it.

    Welcome aboard. Yeah, I get the same dead silence when I mention a supercharged version to dealers. They obviously don't want us to wait that long! I suspect that the AMV8 will ultimately be a car "complementary" to the 911, that is not a direct competitor, but rather a car for the less performance-conscious and more appearance-conscious driver, but nonetheless still a sports car. I know Bez has alluded to a supercharger, but base car sales will determine when the blower is added. Heck, do what I plan to do-get 'em both! I just bought the 996TSCab, and any improvement to the 997T will make it impossible for the 997T to get stood up. And I bet the AMV8 in the flesh will be irresistable too.

    Thanks for the welcome and info! I'm excited about being a part of this group so I can gain knowledge on the sports cars I'm passionate about. You're right, why not get both. However, I'm in line to get the 997T because I just can't take being stood up. Thanks again.

    Not too sure on the supercharged version but various rumours about the convertible - nothing official (surprise,surprise) but one dealer is expecting it late next year, another 2 years after launch and some of the magazines are saying next year too - so it's take your pick...
