Might be true. Mission X has some weird lines trying to be more like a Pagani rather than a Porsche.
Besides, CEO Blume seems to be pushing the synthetic fuel over the BEV, so we might see another ICE based hypercar like the 918 before moving fully over to BEV. Toyota says they succeeded in the solid state battery tech. This will be a game changer. No need to jump into BEV with current battery tech, which is too heavy.
Let's not forget that Porsche couldn't sell the 918 either (until they invented the VIP program as an inducement)...
