My oil consumption has been about the same. I added about 1/2 liter at about 500 miles and the level stayed constant until I changed oil and filter at near 3000 miles and no movement in the fill level since - about 500 miles.

Curious - Has anyone needed brake fluid ?
Yesterday my "Warning brake fluid level" lght came on.
I brought the car in this morning and while I waited the dealer checked the system (said everything was fine) topped off the fluid and now the light is gone. It's the first and only issue I've had with my 997 S cab.
Oil wise - I added about 1 quart at 1000 miles. (I think)Over 2000 now and level is okay.
Don't mean to hyjack the thread with another question but it seamed like people were done answering and the question is kinda similar. THANKS.

Stupid question here:
If the engine has no dip stick and you are relying on the oil level gauge, do you trust it to add more oil to your engine? Overfilling can be a messy affair! I had a 996 and it showed the oil level on start up but I never trusted that digital indication, I always checked the dipstick prior to adding oil.

My brake fluid warning also came on and then turned off after restarting the car, took it to dealer who wired up to diagnostics and didn't find any reason for the drop in fluid, dealer added fluid and blames the factory for the insufficient fluid and missing the problem when PDI was carried out.
Weird thing is since my car was checked its seemed slightly slower and only now about a month latter drives as fast as the pre check up.
Also for the record I've used about 2.5 litres at 6.5k miles
