    Stig 's lap time 1.22.9 vs 360 CS 1.22.3. Ferrari test driver says Bridgestone tyres on 430 are slower than Pirelli's on CS....

    Is it true then that Pirellis' will take the 430 time above the 360CS?

    If so, why doesn't the 430 come with Pirellis as standard?

    it comes with P zero rosso as standard -- IF you tick "tire pressure control"

    You can choose between Pirelli, Bridgestone and Good Year (run flat) so far, no matter if you order tire pressure control or not. They are working on Michelin.

    But I think the question was, why the 430 doesn't have the Pirelli of the CS and CS has P zero corsa sports tires. If you put these on a 430, lap time should improve further. I guess since the 430 is more of an allround sports car than the CS, Ferrari decided for the standard P zero rosso.

    interesting. when speccing my car i told my dealer that i'd prefer pirellis. he wasn't sure if there's a possibility to choose -- but then he told me that the P zero is the only tire which works with the tire pressure control. since i wanted the TPC anyway, it made the decision even easier.

    (in the Porsche forum they prefered Michelin...)

    for me p zero rosso is the best available tyre ,i really felt the difference

    I missed both the initial episode and its repeat here in the UK, but there are a few torrents of it around for those who cant access it from jabbas.

    I have the Corsa's on my CS and the Rosso's on my 997 S Cab. Hard to compare them like that on different cars but loving the way each handles.
