Try the "Sticky Pod Camera Mount", works really well inside or on an exterior surface (really).

If you look at some of the test videos they shot using this thing you'll see how neat it is. Can vouch for it working well on a 997S but didnt want to mount it externally!

I have a Sticky Pod and it works pretty darn well.
You can order it in different versions here www.stickypod.com
Only problem with filming outside the car is the noise you get into the microphone.
You will need either some sort of microphone-"bag" or "sock" to mount on the mic and soften the wind noise or you will need an extension cord and a mic to place in the cabin.
I haven't used the sticky pod much yet, but its great fun.

Notice the camera shadow.
As you can see, the camcorder is mounted on a rod and theres a safety line attached to the camcorder.
You can get rods in diff lengths and also StickyPods in 2 diff sizes.
I picked the full package cuz it had the most suction cups and hence (my conslusion) more safety.

And a last one. I almost destroyed the camera going into this corner, cuz I forgot the mount was sticking out appr. 50 cm.
Fortunately nothing happened. But PLEASE remember to not ride close to pedestrians, bikers or more inanimate objects.
