    Painting My Wheels

    I'm thinking of painting the wheels of my car black with a red borderline. What do you guys think? Appreciate your feedback.
    I'm attaching a photoshoped pics of the wheels after painting.

    I could make it all black, but I thought the red border will give it a more modern look.

    I think you should do whatever you want with it, it is after all, your car. But in my personal opinion, I would not paint them. Or if you do paint them, paint them all black. But that's just me, you do what you want.

    I start to like painted wheels in back with the border matches the color of the car.

    Makes the car look plasticky. Looks like a cheap toycar IMO.
    If you want something special, you might consider other rims.
    I dunno if standard CGT rims are the best around, buyt they are not the coolest IMO.
    Or you can get you car personalized with your initials, or maybe a golden eagle on the front hood?

    I would leave them alone , would worked better with red calipers imo..

    i'd leave it as it is, i think it looks great with the stock rims

    ...it would look good if the rims were polished, instead of Red.

    don't do it!! looks terrible!

    there is another thread showing a black cgt with painted rims, but on that car the rims are only partly painted.. and match the rest of the car..

    I think all black would look best, aside from stock. Can you photoshop all black rims, with no colored borders?

    Black rims is a federal offense IMO.
    Looks like youre running on steel winter rims.

    Otherwise you might wanna consult "Queer eye for the straight CGT owner"...?

    This is actually quite cool, I've never been a huge fan of painted wheels but in the case of the CGT, it seems the outer part is left in metal which gives it a unique feel and look, I like it.
    Ha, I think it would look nice, the only thing I'm not sure about is, as it's been mentionned, is the clash between the yellow calipers and the red rims.

    The color boarder on the rims and color calipers will make them different.
