From porsche site;
"this model delivered a staggering 350 bhp at 5,700 rpm. Its torque was even more impressive, coming in at 500 Nm (370 ftlb.) at 4,250 rpm."
Turning on the headlights is a blast, best seating position ever designed, and sounds better than most ferraris except for an F50.
It shouldn't be a competition amongst porsche models, they all have a different specific intention. For an all around GT nothing has come close to the 928 except maybe the vanquish.

Speaking of the sound of the 928, I think it sounds amazing as well. This video, granted it is a stripped down version with a lot of sound deadening taken away, was the first thing that made me realize how amazing the 928 sounds. Well then the topic confused me. i thought you were saying what we thought was the best looking Porsche ever. Not that you were saying which one you thought was best. And yeah, I watched that video, that's a very nice sounding car.

The 928 wasn't only one of the first Porsches that got my attention, it was one of the first cars that got my attention.
About 10 years ago I saw my first 928, a mid-80s model I think. I wasn't even really a car enthusiast, but it just looked so stunning, I couldn't help but stare.
I remember not even knowing at the time what kind of car it was. Even after I found out it was a Porsche, it would be years before I would be taught the proper pronunciation.
Now, after having seen many beautiful Porsches, I don't know that I'd call the 928 the absolute best looking, I'd actually need some time to think about that before coming to any solid conclusion, but it's certainly up there.
