The so called 'intellectuals' are too dumb to realize a couple facts that's staring them in their face.
-The Earth's climate WILL always change. It's been changing for 4 billion years and will do so for 4 billion if not more years.
-Human as a species are just a temporary occupant on this planet.
Adapt is the correct word. Dinosaurs can't adapt, well not quickly enough, hence they went extinct. And they were the primary species of live on Earth for far longer than humans.
Humans can react quicker than dinosaurs, and we should start adapting. Start by banning the use of wood to preserve our forest, which is the primary CO2 absorbent on Earth and they create oxygen that we all breathe on.
The immediate effect won't be feel by our generation, or the next or the one after, but a few hundred years later those humans will thank us. So no fame and glory for current politicians and scientists.
Gene therapy, DNA structuring should be a top medical priority. Yes modern medicine are very good a curing sickness, but for genetic illness, the bad gene is still there, and get passed on. The more we saved people with defective genes from dying, the more those bad genes get propagated to later generations, it's like natural selection in reverse, only the weakest survived. If we don't fix that, the eventual 'human' will be so weak they can only survive on pills.
