BjoernB:the 43 is mainly bought here due to it's 4x4 - lot's of more People in CH would buy the C63 if they were 4x4 - even admitted by my dealer - but they said it's a packaging Problem hence impossible and as a daily nobody Needs more than this car has
There we go - same reason here!

certainly makes sense.
why didn't you go for the G ? prefer to wait for the new one ?
while it certainly will be a better car, the original G might become a classic.
guess the new G will come in 2018 with the 40 year anniversary ?
am very happy with mine and will have to see the new car to decide if to go for new or stick with W463

Speed has never killed anyone, suddenly becoming stationary... That's what gets you.

We will wait for the W463. According to dealer it will take minimum 24 -30 months to have all options available. If I would take a G today I would have (together with the SRT/ later on Volvo) two daily driver monsters. Also - if I will get that Volvo, I might enjoy a sportier setup for a daily car.
Once the W463 will be available we will know better about the quality of the Volvo and know better about how much I like that little Mercedes. So I can decide what will be the next setup - regular SUV/G-Class or Sedan/G-G-Class, etc.
Congrats Lars. C43 is a very nice var. My friend in USA has one and I had a ride in it once. I really like the exhaust noise and comfortable seats. I hope you enjoy it fully.
How is the Volvo XC90? Are you happy with the car? I'm thinking of buying it with the D5 engine next year since 7 seater is becoming to be a must for me after 2 babies and their nannies.

If? I thought the XC90 was a done deal?
Sorry - I used the wrong words. Yes - the XC90 is a done deal but it has a lot of delay. Should have been with me in December and now we are talking about March. - But again, yes, done deal!

Hi my friend! Thanks a lot. The first time I was riding in a W205 C-Class was actually with you. Great car
The XC90 is on delay. Will be delivered (hopefully) in March. Long time away! . I was test riding the T8 and the D5. The Diesel was already quiet fast and smooth. Car drives much shorter than it is. However, the T8 gives the extra boost and exclusivity. Will keep you posted
My dealer just been sending me those pictures and said that the car is ready to be picked up. This Friday I finally will have time. The mounted rims are winter tires - 18". Still not sure if I will go to mount 18 or 19" for summer. Will have to drive the car to see how the setup feels.
Very nice... Can't wait for a driving report and some interior photos.
Stupid question: I saw a white C45 AMG last week over here but it had a C45 badge on the left and 4M on the right. So I assume it was a fake? The exhaust system and rear bumper looked pretty much the same as on your car. Weird (and dumb...why would someone do that to their car?).
Now I understand why he was faster from standstill (I was in my Mini JCW) but after around 30-40 kph, I was keeping up with him, which was weird (and would be impossible if it were a real C43). We have a "wonderful" stop light at the start of an Autobahn-like road with no speed limit, just perfect for drag races.

Thanks Gnil and RC!
The AMG has always the model badge on the right and the AMG on the left. Never seen that the other way round. Maybe it was a C450 and he removed the "0"? Nevertheless you should have not much chance to keep up with your Mini. Maybe he slowed down?

Makes sense...he removed the 0 and the atic, what an idiot.
Yes, maybe he slowed down, the Mini shouldn't have been able to follow him (up to 140 kph...after that I had to exit the road).
Still not getting why he changed those badges, I would have removed them completely instead.

Maybe someone else changed them for him. It's not unheard of for idiots to vandalize cars in this way.

Today at our Mercedes Dealer - "AMG 4M"
Blueflame
Mercedes surely knows how to confuse people with their model designations but maybe they just ran out of space for the whole word 4Matic, so they wrote 4M instead.
Offer seems to be quite OK btw.

Lars,
If you're planning to get a G500 *W463* in the future, I suggest you check 2016 and 2017 side by side to spot some mild changes from the inside.
For 2017:
- Top mounted screen is a bit bigger and wider
- Bigger buttons that look built-in and nicer (Radio / Navi / Tel / Media etc.....)
- Back-up Camera with parking lines and higher-resolution
- User Interface completely updated, almost similar to the newer models

Looks both elegant and mean and the same time. Awesome choice! Congrats!
