Gnil:Can you explain the « tribute to RS ». Looks like a customer delivery car but these are only for the US market.
Exactly this car is the Prototype for the US limited edition cars (without cage) - apparently the color combo is blocked for the ROW-cars for at least this year, but it will be possible to order it in the future.
I would order the car in white with blue lettering analog to the 996 GT3 RS - a lot of people order white with red lettering, but also PTS will be possible...they will produce a lot of cars for the world, but Europe will get less than usual...
At the moment the main focus is to solve the problem with the DRS-carbon flap on the wing - a lot of already produced cars are waiting for the new parts on a parking lot.

I may have missed that. What is the issue with it?
If I don't fly, I drive my .:RS :)
Thanks for the explanation. You had access to a pretty special car.
The white and green is my favorite combo. I have heard rumors about some parts being available later. I hope that all the details will be available to order in Europe, like the semi painted wing.
On the Swiss autoscout you do now find the first cars for sale at a ridiculous 395k .
It shows again that Porsche does not manage to control speculators.

First, there is no official statement about a „wing-issue“. Everything is pure speculation!!!
I can only tell, what I‘ve seen…the upper DRS carbonflap of the rear wing sticks on both sides with carbon-noses in the sideplates of the wing. These noses broke away from the carbonflap at some cars. A supplier-quality problem.
Again…this is pure speculation….

Hi Blueflame
appreciate your input and your passion related to Porsche. I'm a bit in a conundrum regarding my GT3RS order. In my signed contract I selected Gulf Blue but with the current mess about PTS I'm not really sure what to do. I just had a call with my Porsche Sales guy here in Switzerland and he kind of urged me to forget about PTS and finally spec my car beginning of March. He claims it's going to be risky to wait until PTS opens again for the GT3RS as there might be not enough allocations anymore coming to Switzerland and better getting a car than not. Similar things happened with 992 Touring allocations here in Switzerland, allocations had been made and all of a sudden no cars have been delivered to Switzerland anymore, could potentially be also in connection with the CO2 ceiling car importers have to deal with in Switzerland.
As an alternative Im thinking of replicating the heritage package if they allow so or then go with Arctic Grey with Acid green wheels and stickers as a kind of homage to my former Huracan Verde Shock.
What's your take on the situation, any input you can share with the public?
Thank you in advance
Mike

Super Darius:Hello guys
all fine?
sometimes i popup...
Any news, hits or other about the 992 ST?...my dealer doesn't give me a GT3RS,but seems i'm in for a ST
I write in this thread in way to be less recognizable from the spykillers
Good to see you back Darius...congrats on your future ST - the pinnacle of the 992 series and it could be the last 911 without additonal battery....
My guess is the presentation at the RENNSPORT in september at Laguna Sega during the big 75th party...delivery could follow directly after the event. Some say, that very good customers have already seen pics of the car.
Basically it could be sort of a 992 GT3 RS "Touring" without the big wing and a trunk in the front. The main difference could be in the area of the transmission....
Looking forward to see your car-pics here on RENNTEAM.

Gnil:Nice to see you around, Dario.
Managing to get an ST when being refused a GT3 RS is the world upside down
I hope his dealer knows what the ST actually is...basically a GT3 RS Touring and a highly anticipated and wanted collector's car, as far as I know limited production.
