cnc:Looks like when it all plays out Geely could own Lucid, McLaren and Aston Martin; long-term none of the aforementioned have "a snowball's chance in hell" of staying independent.
Not sure about Geely owning Lucid, they would need to buy out the Saudis, who own somewhere north of 60%.
When you look at the necessary economies of scale, and the need for a large platform to spread the technologies the thought has appeal. Combining that with the weakness es and limitations of each of the players, the Saudis need for eventual liquidity, something akin to this in in the cards. It might not be Greely, but there will combination(s) in some form
