997 GT3

Today after a meeting of italian's Porsche dealer for MY2006 allocation,My dealer confirmed me that first cars(997 Gt3)are in delivery in June 2006

Mine will be one of those..i'm first at my dealer's list..

can't wait

..there is only an year to wait...

Congrats, Dario.

The latest rumour I heard indicates that the 997 GT3 comes with PSM and Sport Chrono Package as standard options. You get yourself the hell of a car.

RC - have you heard any more rumours on whether the 997 GT3 will get the same engine (3.6l, 400bhp, 8200rpm, dry-sump) as the 997 GT3 Cup? The GT1-derived engine is one of the main attractions of the GT3...

Since the GT3 is (in theory, at least) the road version of the racing GT3, necessary for homologation, I say it's the same engine?

we talk about the GT1 derived engine but what are the main differences appart from the famous dry sump? different alloy(s)/materials? If they said: it's basically a GT1 engine with bigger bore, ok. But GT1 derived is kinda messy don't you think? I really hope the turbo/GT(X) version will have this "mysteious" engine

The turbo will have same headlight's shape that standard 997, but directional ... and will be introduced in the other 997 models range at the restyling..don't know when..

I have no other news..the most of rumors said the turbo and the gt3 will be introduced at the same time..summer 2006..but nothing is sure..
In Italy rumors said is more sure that summer 2006 is the time for the turbo and not for the GT3....

but my dealer this morning assured me that the delivery of my car(997 Gt3) will be in June 06..so i'm more confused that before...

time will tell..we must wait...
