Add to the girlie-car list the Hummer H2.

Don't ask me why, but 95% of them are driven by women. When Hummer identified this trend, they switched all their advertising toward females with children -- the family camping drip, dropping the kid the first day at a new school -- the message being that if you buy a Hummer H2, you'll be a better mother and your son will be more confident in himself.

The 911 would be on the womens list if I had enough cash to buy a new one.

Ah well, I did my best but none of my recent cars is on any of the lists, meaning they are (un)popular with both guys and girls? 2000 Mazda MX5 (barebone, with sports package

), 2001 Audi TT 225 quattro, 2003 Audi TT and now 2005 Boxster S.

Still working towards tipping the scale but it'll be a while

As someone who is trained in statistical analysis and research, I am always skeptical of these types of surveys... there are so many other variables that must be accounted into the equation in order to get a true, or at least close to true result...

How did they ask the questions to the women and men? Did they take into account status of economics? What about fantasy desires vs. practicality issues... Also, what about the current roles played by the participants in this study? Were the women primarily mothers of children? Were the men and/or women in the survey single or married? What age group does this survey encompass...

Get my drift?

After looking at that list again, I totally agree that list sucks... And given my skepticism as I stated earlier, I have come to the conclusion that this list looks like more of a marketing scheme initiated by some advertising firms for their respective clients.... lol.

I mean come on now... women want to purchase a vehicle that isn't even on the market yet? And Suzuki and Kia's are on the list?

Sounds like a great marketing ploy to me... "Let's list these cars as the ones women most want and we will get women to come and buy them to boost our sales"...
