    No GT4 this time, but since we did touch on the topic of cowbells... here we go indecision

    We are spending the weekend up in the alps, close to Adelboden, were we have an old hut from year 1781 at 2'000 meters above the sea level.

    While the hut is simple and traditional, it offers spectacular views from the surrounding mountain ranges. Great opportunities for hikes in the summer and, since it is located in a skislope, equal great opportunities for skiing in the winter.

    Crisp clean air, distant cow bells and totally relaxing. Quality of life! wink

    No GT4, nor cows this time indecision Today we did a lovely 15km hike up Le Soliat at 1450m offering spectacular views over the Creux du Van natural rocky cirque and surrounding nature reservation area. A "must see" if you visit Switzerland.

    Today's achievement, 20km hike from the beautiful medieval village Saint-Ursanne along the river Doubs towards the French border. Spotted more cats than people.

    Now to something remotely car related indecision

    We also did a guided tour of the asphalt mine in Travers which was in use from 1711 to 1986. It contains over 100km excavated tunnels and at one point produced 20% of the world's asphalt.

    The area is also famous for being the historical birthplace of Absinth which is now being distilled again wink Obviously we had to try.
