No, there is no way to legally certify a 991 GT3 RS without wing in Germany because Porsche refuses to provide owners with the necessary official documentation (aerodynamics, etc. etc. etc.).

I'm pretty sure you can drive around with fucked up aero on your car and your insurance won't say a thing.

If you break your front or rear diffuser on a curb, will Germany force you off the road just because your aero is messed up? Doubt it.

Test seems suspect. Were the R8 and NSX broken? LOL.

GT3 RS only a fraction of a second quicker than a 570S and a Corvette Grand Sport?

Here's the list with the new times added for comparison to cars not featured this year.

    Re: 991 GT3 RS

Still on topic (is that allowed??)..... summer must be over.  Used listings for the GT3RS for our small country are at 20 or more; prices down to as low as $US 235k, so the big premium over msrp gone. This must be a pretty big proportion of Canada's allocations.  Assume many are in for the next models... and on it goes.  Porsche has trained many of its special model buyers to be flippers.....

    Re: 991 GT3 RS

Someone on Fchat in the GT3 RS thread said they produced 6000 GT3 RS. That's a shit load of cars if true.

Porsche GT car demand has exploded in the last couple years, as have Porsche bubble-like prices. Where there is exploding demand, there is exploding supply. Way more 991 GT3/RS cars on eBay than 996/997.

It's certainly not going to help 991.1 GT3/RS prices that the new ones will be better in every way and have the option for a manual.

    Re: 991 GT3 RS

yeah right - RS prices are seriously down.....old and new....

The R8 used normal road tires in comparison to the semi-slicks of the other cars. Smiley Out of a weird mystery(?), Audi provided many US testcars with the normal PZero road tire instead of the optional Cup 2 tires. Many suspect that this is something "commanded" by VW Group to keep the R8 away from "harming" the Huracan and especially the 911 Turbo S but rumors are rumors, so... Smiley

If these "rumorsSmiley" are "true", then that means porsche needs to step their game up, or be pushed down and let the others take the front-lines.

Waste of time and money, now that we know 991.2 will soon replace it. The speculators can sit on it for the rest of their lives (including older Ferrari's with manual)

I've seen quite a few pop up here and there, asking price starting from $230k+  and still not sold. Smiley

    Re: 991 GT3 RS

Not sure if that comment was for me, but I am planning to own my manual 612 Ferrari for many many years to come smiley, nothing can replace that car today and probably ever and I would not part with it at double the current market value, whatever it is. It was my first Ferrari and I hope it will also be the last to go. If I cared for the speculative value my car wouldn't have 28k miles. I'd rather drive it and enjoy every moment of it with my family.

I doubt GT3 RS are selling for much more than MSRP today with winter coming, huge inventory and new faster better GT3 on the way. If Porsche really built 6000 of them it is nice to see they are coming to their senses and provide enough supply for their customers, and weed out the speculators.

6000 is for the moment just a rumor from a member on RL .  My dealer thinks around 4000 .

Prices here are , for sold cars, now about 15- 20k over list price for slightly used cars .

Talking about greedy ferrari owners, they believe their manual cars are worth over $1M. (F40/F50) still sitting in showrooms and no offers whatsoever (maybe attractive to a collector that enjoys waxing it and storing it forever) Smiley

Three years ago, the CGT was selling for 330k € and this was through porsche pre-owned department in Munich. Today they want nothing less than 650k with big pluses, because manual Smiley
