LOL, Mike what you say is true, but I don't understand it.
When I was at a porsche dealer once, there was a beeautiful blak 996 turbo... really awesome... it was like a predator, hiding to catch its prey... I love it, because I love cars that do look awesome, but don't scream at you.
And then there were some customers, saying they would never buy it in that color, because the black hid he lines of the car...

@joost: I like black cars, but i think i have one too many, time for some contrast! but back to black hiding the lines of the car, it's true if there isn't enough lighting, but man if it's on a good sunny day it really stands out! what's the 2nd thing that will stand out the most on a black car? the rims! which is why i leave mine in it's plain silver-ish colour, makes them look much larger than what they actually are! so making them black kind of hides the car away - like you said "stealthy"

Couldn't agree more. Your black Merc looks stunning!
Silver wheels and accents in crome/alu is just right for a black car with good lines like yours.
In my opinion it goes like this:
Dark car = light colored wheels (silver)
Light colored car = dark wheels
BUT - colur coded wheels with a polished lip can look good on a dark car and black on black can be "mean"!
It doesn't happen that often, but in this case I'm true to my own teachings:
