    Pictures of my 996 and 997 cabs

    Just completed 600 miles in my new 997 cab. On Friday, I drove up to West Virginia and spent two hours along "twisties" through the mountains. It was a splendid day and my new car and I got to know each other. I continue to be impressed at how Porsche has re-invented their sports car. For fun today, I took some pictures of my midnight blue/grey all leather 996 that I picked up 3 1/2 years ago in comparision with my new 997 with the same color scheme. The midnight blue is great in changing light conditions and is unusual. The grey interior tends to hide dirt better than a lighter color. If you like a combination, stick with it Hope you enjoy the pictures!

    front view from a little lower, from this angle you can really see the subtle styling differences...so new and yet not too revolutionary.

    And lastly for those who are interested in the interior, here's one for you. The grey interior is all leather with the adaptive sports seats. They are fantastic and should be on eveyone's "must have" list. The NAV system is so much better (the 996's was CD based) and the multi function wheel grows on you. BOSE is flexible with different settings for different music. Still waiting for the mats though, they're different in the cab with BOSE due to the bass speaker location on the trans tunnel on the passanger side.

    I have bose in my 997S Cab, it came with mats and everything, it seems the mats have only been delayed in the Cabs in the US?
