    sunroof standard in the US?

    Hi all, Yippee I just ordered a MY06 c2s and have a couple of q's.. THe dealer told me that it would be a July build, but I read that the 06's start getting built in Aug...also, is the sunroof standard rd or an option

    this is porsche if they charge you for sun visors to be in leather, i'd think they would charge you for a sunroof

    Sunroofs are standard in US and I don't think you can even delete it if you want to...

    oh my gosh, are you serious...?!?!
    that is so werid, the sunroof also just adds extra weight to the car. if you want to shine in the sun, get the cab

    Yeah, sunroof also takes away headroom - tough to wear a helmet for tall drivers...

    Even though Einstein already proved that, it took him more time and work since he wasn't on the waiting list for a 911 like we were!

    Not a problem in a 997 anymore. The sport and adaptive sport seats can be adjusted very low in the car.

    When I was at the Barber Motorsports Park, driving the Porsche Driving Experience 997 and 997S cars, I had no problem of any kind fitting in the seat with my helmet on. The cars all had sunroofs.

    I'm 6'4" (1 meter 93).

    The seat on the 997 is also 10mm lower than in the 996 so that helps a bit too

    Any word on whether the sunroof may eventually be deleted from the 997 in North America? There has been speculation that it isn't available b/c testing of a vehicle without sunroof for regulatory approval would cost too much. Will we have to wait until a GT3 passes the tests? Does anybody know if the sunroof delete option only came for the 996 after the GT3 was introduced?
