    I've booked an appointment on the 4th of October for the same setup. kiss Next season they will release the big upgrade kit with new suspension ... I'm very interested in that one, because the GT4 RS is rather nervous out of the box (on the Nordschleife) it jumps around a lot... I think the GT3(RS) rides quite a bit more stable on the Ring.

    kiss They were fully booked at the time I will be at the Ring next, so I did not manage to get an appointment. I will see for the following time.  Very interested in your impressions once done.

    The 991 GT3 RS is pretty stable around the Ring. I think they purposely kept the 4RS  more playful in order to keep his pace behind the GT3.  Unless it is all down to the more simple suspensions/arms/wisbone system.

    How do you like it so far, Gnil? And when are you getting yours, Whoopsy?

    Mine is currently not being driven. It will have full PPF application by the end of next month and then the season is practically over.

    I had to reschedule my appointment at Manthey because the Kit does still not have the Porsche Approved warranty, but next year it will.

    I have now 3500 km

    I took the car to the Ring. But rain most of the time . Only a few dry laps. Did not manage to get a good grip of the car. It moves so much more then my former 3RS. I am still used to have huge grip with a very planted back. Going to Monza soon, hope to ba able to exploit the car better there. 

    Manthey told me also the aero kit will be available by spring. 

    The car is definitely more ''fun'' on public roads as it is more lively. You don't need to be at crazy speeds to get emotions.  The perfect back road or mountain pass roads. Not convinced yet it is my sort of track car. 

    The power is well enough for the size of the car. 

    As to the inside noise on long distances specially on the highway, you do need earplugs and that work well ... and then just crank up the stereo sound .

    I want another Porsche in the family, the GT4 RS, the GT3 Touring and the GT3 RS are in the race.

    To be honest, the GT3 Touring is my favorite but my son prefers the GT3 RS. Price difference would be 30k with the options I like.

    The GT4 RS might be the best for mountain driving in the Alps and more tight and technical tracks.  For autobahn driving and all-around multi-purpose, I think the GT3.

    Maybe I missed it but I've never seen you be as devoted to track use. From what I gather I think the Touring might be a better fit. Both are incredible machines though, having to choose between them is a good problem to have Smiley

    Agree 100% with Grant.  Also it looks like the new 3RS is extremely difficult to get. Worst then any of the previous 3RS, 

    And I don't understand Porsche for putting cars like that on the market and then making them impossible to get. Smiley

    Heard the same thing and was told RS is SOLD OUT.

    They are playing hard with GT4 RS and GT3 too Smiley

    If only my dealer wasn't a disaster c**t in the after sales dept, the GT4 RS (PTS) would've been my choice without hesitation.

    The 992 touring won’t be as exclusive as the 991.2 version. That said, love it. I think they improved the sound below 3k revs vs the 991.2 GT3’s. Sounds great and far better than the GT4. There is also not that intermittent “pulley belt” noise that you have on the 3.0 turbos and 4.0 standard / GT4 engines which is great, it was probably the single greatest thing I did not like about the GT4. I spent two days up at Silverstone and the answer was “they all do that sir…”

    I’ve got the GT3RS allocation in PTS confirmed though as said in the previous posts, the GT4RS is the better proposition for mountain road carving which makes a lot of fun.

    You are lucky...or just you are priority at your dealer. 

    I agree that the 4RS is the better car for mountain road carving and actually for any king of public road except highways. 

    But the 3RS is the better car for track driving. 

    Maybe we can do a swap at some stage Smiley

    All I can figure is that with Porsche replacing cars lost at sea, they don't have the capacity to fulfill reasonable demand. I can get a 992RS if I'm willing to pay close to $500,000. The RS is a not a 4 or 500,000 car.Smiley

    Porsche has forced me to turn my attention to the Z06 which will cost 1/4th the price of an attainable RS.Smiley

    I took the car to Monza the other day. It is a very fast track, lots of straight and only a few chicanes, turns. 

    I was slower then the 992 GT3. Not on the straights, that was about the same, but I could not manage the corners as fast as them, except for the first tight chicane after the start. Bare in mind that my geometry was original and the others had done track alignments . My car definitely needs another geometry as my front tires have been worn with ''steps''. 

    GT4 RS does move around much more, on braking and in corners. Suspension has more rebond.  It is a lively car, which adds drama and sensations.  270 km/h at the end of the straight. My son was doing doing 275 km/h with the 991.2 GT3. My brother with the F8  managed 300 km/h... but killed his brake pads  indecision

    There was a Cayenne Turbo GT. That thing is incredible. The F8 could hardly catch up with it on the straights . It was incredibly fast. Even through the corners, nearly flat trough.  The guy used it the whole day, driving it to the max he could. No problems. We were stunned as we all expected overheating. What a machine ! I encourage any one into power SUV to try one. 

    On the way to Monza, I did the Saint Bernard pass and on the way back went through the Nufenen pass, and in-between did also some of the Centovalli with is a small road with hundreds of tight corners between rocks.

    The GT4 RS is at home in these kind of settings. The king of mountain roads. It gives so much. The car is small and nimble, reacts instantly , engine is so alive , noise is crazy, you get so much more sensations then in the more planted and stable GT3/RS. 

     

    My son was driving the 991 GT3. Great to be able to do track days with the kid ! Smiley

    Inherit trait of a mid engine car. They are deigned to be unstable so it can be nimble around corners. That's why people that can drive really fast much much preferred a mid engine car. 

    Ferrari mostly dial that out on purpose, knowing their customer base. Porsche stayed true to tradition with the GT4RS.

    It is the one reason I am so looking forward to the GT4RS, and I much prefer the GT4RS over the 992 GT3.

    Went for a drive to the local hills with a friend and his friend ..... Probably one of the only LaF who has over 12k miles as it is used as intended.
