In track and street driving my Stradale, I have run the rpms up to the limit and never had an "automatic upshift." In the owners manual, however:

The 430 F1 will automatically upshift to a higher gear in all settings EXCEPT RACE and CRT OFF. While in those settings, if you reach maximum RPM's you will bounce off the rev limiter. I guess Ben was in Sport mode (how in hell did that happen? ) when it auomatically upshifted on him.

Ask your tech if he can "program" the automatic upshift feature to not upshift in sport. the auto upshift in sport mode is a facsist idea and a step backwards from the 360.

That's what I've thought. Exactly the same as in case of the F360. Thanks for clearing this up!

you've got some problems
my F1 likes to switch to "N" instead of upshifting at high revs. car is in service right right now in order to check the problem.

Thanks for the info, Nick. I'm glad it doesn't upshift in the most aggressive settings
