Official Ferrari car and F1 memorabilia auction
News from the owners' site:
For the first ever time, the Prancing Horse is opening its hallowed doors to a dedicated auction of its cars and F1 memorabilia. Held in conjunction with one of the world's most famous auction houses, Sotheby's, the sale on the 28th of June will bring together a number of extremely significant models representing over 50 years of racing and road-car success.
As well as cars from private collections, the auction will exceptionally feature a number of unique lots from its own production, including a specially-built Enzo (the 400th), the proceeds of which will go to charity, and a F1 car from the historic 2004 season. The F2004 going under the hammer, in fact, is the very car that Schumacher drove to his first five wins in his record season. Never before in Ferrari's history has a F1 car from the previous season been offered to a collector.
As well as undertaking registration with Sotheby's on behalf of all those who would like to make bids on any of the cars or memorabilia, the Owners' Site is offering clients a unique context in which to take part in this historic occasion. A specially organised event within the event ensures that clients will enjoy exclusive access to the cars and memorabilia the day before the auction before being welcomed into the special atmosphere that surrounds the company with a guided tour of the factory.
After a memorable evening in the heart of Modena, the next day opens with a visit to the historic Maserati factory followed by attending the auction itself in the highly suggestive surroundings of the Fiorano track.
