    Damn remote control!

Windows down on car. Thank goodness it hasn't been raining.

I assume the unlock button got pressed and held when in my pocket. Wonder if there's a way to disable that feature?
    Anyone?

    Re: Damn remote control!

Did the same with mine last week and it was really soaked!

    Re: Damn remote control!

Hmm, mine doesn't do that (last one did) and it's a real pain as it makes it easier to get in & out of the car with the windows down when the car is squeezed into the garage.

I can raise them when locking it though - wonder whether it's selectable to that degree....

Have I got this right? You get in and out of the car in your garage with the roof up, the doors shut and the windows open?
This I will have to make a special trip to Andover to watch.

I'm also thinking of getting the car painted orange, a large '01' on both doors and seeing if someone can sew a confederate flag into a roof!

    Yeee-hah!

I agree with Rich, it's handy to be able to drop the windows, as it DOES make getting in easier. (I have to say that I found the Z4 windows to restrict access even worse!).

What is annoying is that you can unlock the car and drop the windows accidentally with the remote... THEN if the car doesn't detect a door has been openend for a while it LOCKS the car again but leaves the windows open! Couldn't it raise the windows again? (Or is there a lawsuit danger that it might damage someone?!)

I have another issue with the key - when I unlock the car first thing in the morning, I have to hold the key right next to the window for it to work. Later on the range seems to be fine. Don't know if anyone else has found the same?

I haven't tried this for a while, but I also found that if I double-clicked the remote to unlock - (I used to have a Golf that had a single-point-of-entry feature) - then it seemed to completely disable remote unlocking, and I had to use the key and put the key in the ignition before full remote functionality was restored.

Perhaps there is some syncronisation problem with the rolling security codes held by the key and by the car.

That would look a lot better than an aerokit.
