    Would love to drive more on similar roads in Switzerland and Austria as well. Have been to Lech/Zuers once in summer time but from the other side, through the mountains, so much fun. Would also love to do the passes again but time is not my friend. I do not enjoy driving on the Autobahn much, believe it or not.

    Video should show up in an hour or so, video is over 1GB and my upload speed in the office is only 12Mbit/s, sorry.

    Great vid! Lovely landscape and very enjoyable roads for sure, but hell, they are narrow af that it just looks like your r8 occupied 3/4 parts of the asphalt (maybe a matter of perspective?)... definitely not the car that I would choose for a drive through a mountain pass.

    You sorted really well the encouter with the ¿Chevy? pick-up.

    In the US a driver would assume those are one way streets!  I always forget how narrow roads are in Europe.

    Thanks, guys and yes, the roads there are narrow but this is what makes it fun. 

    I also have to say that many drivers were nice enough to let me pass.

    Love that photo from Monaco, I guess I need to go there too. So many nice roads to enjoy and with a nice car, this is so much fun.

    I just wish I had more time...

    I just wish I had more time...

    Let me know if you go there RC, I can provide you with some nice tour suggestions (all the way up from Monaco only using passroads like Col de Braus, Col de Torini, Iséran to lake Geneva where Gnil is waiting for a spin with his RS Smiley) Pure driving nirwana and yes one needs more time especially when considering the slow average speed on the passroads (mostly 45-55 km/h average only) but it's worth every second Smiley

    Just... And this is not criticism,  more a personal opinion. To my taste optional sport exhaust on R8 can be little bit annoying.  Too much pop corn sound for me. It bothered me at my R8 V10 Plus test drive. In my opinion 991 GT3 and GT3 RS sport exhaust is almost tuned to perfection. Otherwise V10 sounds amazing but, sport exhaust attenuates wrong things IMHO.

    This is my weekend toy and so far, I haven't felt annoyed by it. I can control this popping sound with my throttle foot, so... Smiley

    On the contrary: Lately, I got the feeling that the "pop corn sound" is a bit muted, so my car will be at the dealer for a week to figure out what is going on. Smiley No kidding. Actually, I am more afraid the overall sound could get quieter if there is a problem somewhere, so I want them to check this out before it gets worse. My mechanic suspects an issue with the vacuum hose or a mechanical part but like I said, the sound is loud but the "pop corn" isn't popping as loud as it should. Smiley

    If the R8 would be my daily driver, I would simply switch to Comfort mode but keep the exhaust turned on. Still loud but no more "popping".

    Yes and there may be another issue at hand (you can "adapt" sound with a screw, which is welded(!) to a linkage and this screw may gotten loose...). I don't mind if the car gets louder in the process... Smiley Smiley

    Getting a RS6 Performance with Akrapovic exhaust as a free loaner... (I requested it instead of a R8 loaner because I want to see how the RS6 feels as a family car).
