Question to 987 non s owners

First of all hi guys, its one of my first post in this community. Im contemplating buying a 987 non s...i have a question to the owners or the one that have made experience of this car...is the power good, adequate? Im mainly looking for excellent handling, but need good power too. Ps i dont whant the boxster s.

Hi Desmo,

I picked my std 987 up this weekend. I traded a 986 S. The new car has gorgeous low down torque, it pulls like an old aircooled 911. Its a car that you can drag around by the scruff of its neck. Test drive it and you will buy it. It took me 40 seconds to turn to the salesman to say I was going to order. No need for an S.

I agree completely! If you can afford an S buy one buy the Boxster 987 2.7 is good enough for me and plenty enough power!!

Pls to hear your comments as I am picking up a 2.7 on Saturady. I always worry that it will be underpower, although I was very happy at the test drive!!

S or non S, you will always want more power ... even if you don't know how to use it

Tell me about it Mcdelaug!
Just been debating whether I should go for the powerkit or not, despite the ridiculous price taf IMO.
But in the end, Zurich is right of course, it is human nature as RC said.
Will I feel the 26 hp? No definitely not, not until I "become one" with the 997S which should take an extremely long time, but hey, I'd still want it!
But then, if I get it, I will tell myself, Fanch, you moron, you could have gotten a GT3!

And then, I'll be like, oh man, I have gotten a GT2

And then, Damn, there's the CGT!

Ok, theoretically, after the Bugatti Veyron, one should be sorted.

Oh did I mention financial issues,
Ahhh... Human nature...
