I've only done 500 km so far, with a trip to the Nürburgring. All I can say is that the positive reviews from the numerous car journalists are not in the least exaggerated. The car is amazing and so much fun to drive. I can't rev it to 9k yet (only 5k) but the sound inside the cabin is already very entertaining.
The chassis suspension feels a bit like a 991.2 GT3, if not maybe slightly firmer, but that's not a surprise, given that it's still MacPherson.
I find the dimension of the car to be just perfect...the visibility through the rear window is obstructed by the wing, which sits right in the middle again.
The infotainment is rubbish, just like the rear view camera that distorts too much...
I'm glad that I got the Michelin CUP tires, as opposed to the Dunlop that I got on the GT3. When I checked the tire pressure on the way to the Ring I noticed that three tires had 2.6 bar in them while one tire had only 2.1....don't they check tire pressures at the dealerships prior to delivery day anymore?
The exhaust note from the outside is muted by the particle filter... we have to live with that, it's not bad, but a good amount less loud than we're used to and we would like to. Fortunately there are aftermarket exhaust solutions coming, one is already on the market by JCR I believe. There's a video online and it sounds higher pitched which I like better.
It may not be faster than a GT3, actually it's slower as we know (not by much though), but it is surely the better car, if you want to do both: track and twisty roads driving.
A few photos from the Ring where I did some bedding in
P.S. the car gets a lot of attention.

Very cool! BTW, I'm pretty sure the factory break-in protocol allows 7k rpm right away (until 1500 km when you can use all 9k).
I assume the rule should be the same as the GT3 (given it's the same engine).

Yes, that's correct, Grant. It also says 7k rpm in the GT4 RS manual, however, I'm following AP's break-in protocol, which is as follows:
"I can only tell you how I personally do it, or how we do it at Weissach – for the first 500 kilometres or 300 miles, we don’t drive that car ever over 5000 rpm, never. From then on, every 200 kilometres, we up the rpms by 500, so we end up at 1300, 1400 kilometres at the threshold before we can really go full throttle, at 800 or 900 miles.»
He then went on that this procedure was really important for the GT3 RS engines given their more «delicate» rings - and how important this break in really is for any of their engines."

OK, sounds good
I limited myself to 5k also at the beginning for a few hundred km. Then went to 7k (finished the break in on the Nordschliefe like this for a few laps before I reached 1500km). Now I'm at ~14,000 km

Here lies your answer.
The GT4RS isn't suppose to be compared to the 992 GT3. They are of different platforms.
The proper GT3 to be compared is the 991 GT3 as the GT4RS is based off that platform.
It is faster than a comparable GT3, 7:05 vs 7:12. And it's also a better car than a 992 GT3.

Again, Gauss, congratulations. You (we) are a very lucky owner. My sales guy does not think that the 2023 allocations which have been all canceled will be replaced. Great to see the car at the Ring during what seems to be a perfect day. I concur with your impressions. Will give some of mine.

Does your GT3 have the mechanical/rattle engine noises at low speed that the previous GT3/RS had ?
