Sounds like formal progression may not be an order?
That's right! You have a formal order when the dealer is able to configure the car with the options , get the pricing, and have the order accepted by the Porsche's factory. You then get also a delivery date... But, not possible yet
I have a letter too....but that's the local Porsche garage that has issued it, not a factory confirmation

I have a C2S and I am v happy with it, but I would like to try the C4S, particularly in our weather. I am still hoping I will not have lost too much since the cars are still quite rare (The cheapest used manual 997S for sale at a UK dealers is Pounds2,000 more than I paid for mine!)
I don't mind the front looking the same hopefully this will accentuate the rear which I like the look of the most.
I think the wider body will look better, I can see that you will have to check the rear for a 4 to be sure, but I just feel there is room for a little expansion, think Jennifer Lopez. I think overall it will be a very good looking car.
My dilemma is whehter to bale out now and wait or keep driving and then lose much more when the 4 arrives.
Any view on that?

It was July last year for an October delivery when I gave the specification for the C2S, the Uk was later than the ROW we had release in mid september, but if the C4 release is Sept Oct then I would say you spec and commit in July.
But you get to pay Porsche money well before

The deposit here when the order is confirmed is CHF 10000.00 ( about Pounds4000.00).... Hope I can do that soon!

I will place the order on the C4S...but with the idea that if I want the C2S ( witch I am still considering seriously..... I am waiting for a very rainy day to go and test drive it again in bad conditions), I can change it without having to wait extra month. 80 % of the Carrera sales here are C4/C4S..so there is already a big waiting list for the new model . I do not want o pull out of it , in case.
. I want also to know if the 44 mm extra are apealing or nothing special...
