so why believe you have any concern for your customers?

    I love you, too Smiley

Yup, you said it all glibly.

I took your bait and now regret it. I'm sorry I ever responded. It hasn't done either of us any favors.

I never should have responded to your technical evaluation which my customers who have experience with both detectors would regard as an outlier.  I should have just let it pass without comment. When I pointed it out, the discourse went downhill.

You may not regard your comments as insulting, just the "plain truth", but since I've poured my life and soul into pleasing detector customers, I found it personally offensive.  It seems that I'm not cut out for this sort of web interaction.

Yes, it seems obviously simple to make a product by listening to customers.  That's what we tried to do with Gen2.  It took decades of listening to customers and engineering development to arrive at the current product. The supplied suction mount combined with the Gen2's slimmer housing helps keep the windshield obstruction to a minimum.  Plenty of customers are delighted by that.

It doesn't have a gooey cup windshield mount option yet because our engineers have a basket full of other priorities made VERY worse by the international chip shortage.

It's amazing how busy trying to stay in business can be.  I guess if I actually cared about my customers, I would have pre-purchased 2 years of critical parts inventory before they became scarce from our vendors (with no notice except non-delivery).  Re-designing several iterations of circuit boards and re-writing the code to match available processors (of which there are very few) to maintain production is focused on customers whom let us know about long backorders. I also would have hired 3 or 4 times as many customer service reps as I needed because it was easy to forecast the staff shortage caused by COVID and I would have ended up just right.

Again, I'm sorry I don't meet your standards.

I actually like you and what you contribute here.  So the repartee ( Smiley) was partly in jest, but I see it was interpreted as FU2.  Was your comment an FU to me?.

Let's don't do this anymore Smiley

We're off for amputation Friday:  Bone infection needs to be cut away before I lose my Left lower leg - the good news is it's my clutch foot and the Pista has no clutch!!!  Smiley

Oh my god, Watt...I feel so sorry about it. SmileySmileySmiley

I wish you a speedy recovery and I am amazed of how you seem to take things...not sure I would be able to do that.

Kudos to you and your mental status, you are truly an amazing person, Watt. Smiley

Enough to hike, which is all that matters!! Healing nicely but obeying my surgeon's request to leave off boots and hitting the jump off until next week's visit to the Wound Dept Monday and Post Op Thursday!!!  So happy to leave this dangerous bone infection in the rubbish bin! My shoulder can carry propane tanks again!!! The titanium spine a work of art, technology and skill!

When the Lord bring challenges one after another, one speaks to God as Job:

"If I lift myself up, You hunt me like a lion, and show Yourself inflicting marvelous trials upon me."  Job 10:16 Amplified Bible.

Epictetus and Marcus Aurelius, slave and emperor -- read them over and over again, their perspectives priceless.

Thank God for the chance to bounce up and fight on  - I'm still  vertical!  Thanks to all our RennTeam friends!!  The Crewe sends their all encompassing love!

With the current rate of inflation, it’s almost an insult to call you the Six Million Dollar Man of RT.  Glad to read that your recovery is nearly as quick as your Ram TRX.  On a more literary topic, how different have you found the various translations of Aurelius?

Too far back to recall when, I found George Long the best translation of M. Aurelius. I have perhaps 12 copies from my $9800 fine M.A.

    IMG_4223.jpeg

    IMG_4224 2.jpeg

And the copy I carried for so many years I had it rebound on the '90's, George Long for M.A., and  P.E. Matheson who is best for Epictetus who is just as valuable as M.A.  I get little value from Lucretius or Epicurus.  If you can find this volume, you get both authors plus excellent commentary.

    IMG_4225.jpeg

    IMG_4227.jpeg

I pored over this copy as you can see:

    IMG_4229.jpeg

This volume also includes Matthew Arnold's Essay on M.A. quite wonderful as well.
