    New Audi RSR-a real 911 Turbo competitor?

    Audi will soon put on the market the all new Audi RSR.
    Just a few facts: V10 engine, 420 HP, 4WD and a weight around 1.5 tons, slightly lighter than the current 911 Turbo.
    The design is pretty spectacular for it's price tag, around 125000 EUR (which puts the RSR in the same price range as the Porsche 911 Turbo).
    The engine is the same engine used in the Lamborghini Gallardo.

    Isn't that car built on the Audi Avus concept a few years ago?

    Actually it looks like a mixture of the Audi Avus Concept (1991) and the Audi Rosemeyer concept (2000).

    The Rosemeyer was the 8 Litre V16 630HP monster..

    they recently unveiled the nuvolari concept car. i do not like it's look too much, a little bit too TT-ish.

    but the cockpit style is REALLY AWESOME!!

    Infact.. the photo you've shown is a photoshop of the original photos of the year 2000 Audi Rosemeyer. It's exactly the same except a more modern Audi grill has been added to the photo and a rear fender vent has been added.

    The Audi RSR is [no] prototype, it is real.
