My GT3RS front splitter ripped again and I don't recall bottoming out. I've order a second and of course the cost has increased by 30%.
Aren't you glad you didn't order painted lips?

Haha be glad yours isn't one of those active one like on the turbo S.
Those are hyper expensive.
Next most expensive splitter would be the GT2RS one.
Your GT3RS one shouldn't be THAT bad.........
I still remember it was $200 for my 997 turbo S plastic lip

How much did they charge you ? That splitter is around 300 $ and is changed in 10min
Sad story. Replacing my first splitter required me embarrassing the parts department. Initially they quoted me $850. I bulked. Thankfully in an email exchange with Grant he told me of another dealer that selling it for $280. I then confronted the parts department with the quote from the other dealer. Their response was $850 is their price but since I’m a valued customer they will sell to me I believe $300. My service rep was so embarrassed he had it install at no cost to me.
Fast forward to today and my dealer quoted $480 for the splitter. All dealers in the US are quoting anywhere from $440 to $800. Installation is extra. Same splitter as before nothing different. An opportunity for dealers to make a few extra dollars. 
Mine will be installed this Tuesday.

Now that you mention it, I have heard that all replacements parts have increased by 30% at the beginning of the year with no explanation. The WP front hood for the GT3 RS went from 19k to 24k. No wonder I had my car stolen to be most likely taken apart.

I did BTW ask if I could do European delivery and pick the car up in Germany. Unfortunately, the brilliant UK bureaucrats over here have not worked out post-Brexit how such an arrangement could possibly work and so Porsche gave me the "we regret to inform you that we are unable at this time to offer European delivery for UK based customers....".
Can I ask why you are blaming the UK bureaucrats for this, do you have details or is this just a (somewhat justified) remainer rant ?
Unfortunately Porsche directly attributed it to uncertain new customs regulations post Brexit. FWIW, in Greece last year the lady wanted to ship something back from Milos, store owner said he could ship anywhere in the world, except for the UK. So something seems to be off…
I haven’t spent more time analysing this to be honest but anecdotal experience seems to suggest everything is more difficult in the UK which I find slightly odd given one of the (not the only!) main drivers of Brexit was perceived excess regulatory encroachment from Brussels…. If one accepts that premise (and btw no one in Brussels spent anytime analysing this / no self introspection whatspever), then post Brexit, the English government should be consequently focussed on reducing regulatory complexity for society as a whole. I am not sure this has happened unfortunately…
Finally, I would note I live here in England as a guest so I deliberately abstained from voting, didn’t pick a side.

Anybody know if Porsche will keep producing cars through August? In the past, the factory has traditionally been shut down. My GTS was scheduled to be built on July 5, but I don’t think it’s been built yet. My car is a 2022 model year. I know information is hard to come by, and there are lots of problems out there with supply chain, port strikes etc., I would appreciate any info if anyone has any.

Your frustration is palatable. Have you tried calling Porsche customer service in Atlanta. Give them you order number and they may have updated information. OR they may tell you discuss the matter with your dealer.

For anyone interested, specs are Shark blue, black leather interior with chalk stitching, 18 way seats, heated gt steering wheel, premium package, exterior gloss black package, gloss black rear badges, white tachometer and chrono on dash, rear wheel steering, glass roof, PPF.
