    He can't. Serious repercussions from releasing press photos early. GM/Corvette was threatening legal action against several Vette forums for having press photos of the new Z06 out in the open early. You don't want that to happen to RennTeam do you?

    P.S.: I did speak to a person who attended a focus group for the Cayman. He said most of the spy photos you've seen, are an accurate representation of the car, except for a few minor details.

    that I keep tuning in to Rennteam to see if, my hereo, RC

    I saw some press pictures today and I have 4 words for you guys.

    THIS CAR LOOKS AWESOME

    To me it looks very much in proportion and the curves are so harmonous and neat.

    I was told that it'll be realsed (the pictures) some time next week.

    I'm a little more interested in base price than pics, with only 15 more horses than the $53,100 MSRP Boxster S the Cayman S should really not start higher than 55k.

    Yes, I'm interested in the pricing also. I kind of assumed that would be disclosed at the same time. Is it going to be just pictures or is it going to be a whole press release with all the details as well?

    I'd really like pricing and a preliminary order guide to show, but that may be asking too much. Of course if they price it too high I won't be needing the guide!

    concur with you all %100 ! This car needs to be great to look at, be quick, handle well, have a good level of standard equipment; and be $56,000-$58,000 Base price in the US. If not; I believe this new Porsche will not be a huge success. That is real important to me; it's how I make
    a living, selling them. I can't wait for those pics, RC !

    I don't think there is such a thing as a bad handling Porsche

    Cayman will do doubt be a better handling Porsche than
    the 987 or 997. Mid engine, fixed roof, better suspension
    than a Boxster wich already out slaloms a Enzo.

    Its price positioning though runs contrary to Porsche
    marketing history. Usually Porsche has charged more
    for the cab version of their models, so the Cayman breaks new ground on that point alone.

    Is it really confirmed that the ONLY difference between the cayman and boxster is the fixed roof, name and 15 hp extra??? Perhaps theres some things it comes with or its a better developed chassis......no? Probably not but what do you think.
    Also, the fact that porsche has given it a different name and all that makes me think that this is definitely more or atleast over time their gonna make it more, than just a fixed roof boxster. I'm sure porsche knows what its about to do with the price......do you really think their planning to have a long term model thats over priced significantly???

    I would consider buying a Cayman S IF the weight is low, real low. The 911 is the beefcake in the family, the only way the Cayman could find purpose in my mind is if the weight is exceptionally low.

    Right...the front bumper is a bit different, incl. the lights (not the frontlights) but this is really pretty close.

    Imagine this red car with center air intake similar to the 997 aerokit's and with round foglights where the 987's are rectangular !
