I went black on my S. Found the white dials bit hard to read in certain kinds of light. But then again, it might just be me...

And by the way these dials would cost a lot of money as an option. You would need some very good reasons to do it wihtout the white dials voluntarily. I don't see any.

Colour tastes simply.
I have them on my 996, was so cool at first, I hate them now, look so cheap IMO!
I've gone with black dials for the 997S and got confirmed that the chrono will also be black.
It's really like ext. and int. colours honestly.
You can have them in all sorts of colours, which is cool.

If you choose nonstandard face color, you MUST get confirmation that the sport chrono dial will be consistent. I saw an early 997 with speed yellow dials, but the sport chrono dial was still black - made the wart look even uglier.

I think if you get either black or silver dials you can get black or silver sports chrono to match. But if you order another color say yellow for instance you still only have a choice of black or silver sports chrono. I could be wrong but I dont think they are making the sports chrono in other colors cept black & silver.
Anyone know for sure on this ?

That's true. Sport Chrono dial will either be black or silver, no matter which colour you pick for the main dials. Surely looks weird IMHO.
Definitely weird....can they be serious with this?
PIC below taken directly from Porsche.com
(to be honest imho , even if the sport chrono gauge face was matching guards red-- would STILL be awful.
Red dials with Cocoa No No)
