Well, this car (and the 550M) is supposed to be a modern interpretation of the 365GTB/4 Daytona and it doesn't come close to the original. I doubt they could do justice to the GTO either

Well, that's why I said "I would appreciate" instead of "I expect".
Anyway, let's hope the best, technology-wise it surely will be stunning.

I don't think you have enough faith in Pininfarina's design ability, and critiquing design details on what is obviously a heavily masked prototype is pointless. Only general design elements can be taken away from cars like this...

Couldn't agree more, people always critique test mules and prototypes....gets a little annoying if you ask me!

Couldn't agree more, people always critique test mules and prototypes....gets a little annoying if you ask me!
This thread is about this mule. As it is the wheel/tire combined size is dwarfed by those humungous side body panels in pic 2. In fact the panels look like they are almost scraping the pavement.
So yes this mule is horrendous. If i see a pic of the real 600 i will comment on that according to its merits. Simple.

Ok Ok it uses parts of the 612 beause it's based on the 612 platform. You can see this because the interior is bigger than the 575.
The side if the car is a bit like the 250 GTo or the 250SWB to me because you have a long front, deep doors and a high(er) end.
I hope it will be a small end. What affraids me is the long back on this mule. I think we will get the rear lights of the Enzo but they will protect the view till the announcement ????

These are new pics. So it can't be a 612.
That pic is months old, it was a Photoshop done by Road & Track I belive. 612 body, F430 wheels and some holes added here and there. It's not even 1% offical.

The only representative parts of the car must be the A-pillar, roof line and side windows - all of which are far removed from the 612.
Also, the large gap between the "cladding" of the front fenders and doors would seem to indicate that there is some air vented through the front fenders (like the Rossa?) - that, or maybe the large gap is required to make the doors open because the fat camo bodywork (obviously 612) is not compatible with the door hinge axis.

Well, in this case you are absolutely right, this green-yellow thing isn't only PS, it's also BS.
