    watt:

That's silly, he's merely reporting the source of the loss of speed, when changing tyres did nothing. I would have been very perturbed myself after the tyres.

But, I agree Woke and Whinge is the new F1, under the leadership of Chief Whinger "It's Undriveable" Leweemail  Merc 4.3 s pit on 34 hurt him.

Checo did a great race, consummated. by shredding Lewee both timesSmiley. And fun. to see TWO Ferraris racing each other.  Chuck's pass on Lewee. in Copse was superb, and Chuck should be glad his damage was less than Max's.

That post SC last ten laps is worth watching twenty times -- More please!!!!!!!

Hamilton definitely is the chief Woker, with Vettel as the lieutenant.

Chief Whiner however is definitely Verstappen for sure, by a mile. Anything will trigger him. Almost like he took on the early day Alonso's persona.

Leclerc however never quite whine, if at all, even when he got fucked by Ferrari for so many times and for so long now one can stuff a rear tire into his bottom and he won't even noticed. Poor kid.

Did you not hear Leclerc whine over and over about Sainz not letting him pass?

That's like literally nothing compared to what Verstappen says on the radio, or Hamilton for that matters.

Leclerc's outburst is like standard, par for the course for F1 drivers. prime example being Sainz's reply to team orders.

    Re: [2022] Formula 1

    Some thoughts to ponder.

Will Mick be where he is without his last name?

    What about Max?

And Stroll, or Latifi for that matters.

Stroll is easy, his dad owns the team, he can't possibly be fired.

Latifi's dad is the biggest sponsor for Williams, yeah, his seat WAS safe.......

Sainz is in between. He carries a famous last name, but his dad isn't a F1 driver so it was't a direct influence.

Mick is borderline, his accomplishment in the junior series are there, but because of his last name, he got more leeway, on stuff he can get away with. He finally performed as expected today.

Max. He is like Rosbrg, Nico. At least Rosberg senior got a WDC on his resume. Nico can drive, but without the last name, could he be what he was? Max's dad wasn't an accomplished driver, but he made enough connections that Max's career path is set. Max didn't disappoint with his skillset. Most of it anyways. His on track decisions are still up for debate, or even his WDC last year. But this year he has grown into an adult, realizing what is important, it's points, not any single battle against any other driver. He brought the car home in the points today, he matured much more compared with the same period last year. He is the favourite to win against this year, same as last year. When he wins the WDC and complete his back to back, he will get out of any shadows and be himself on his own merit, equally Alonso as a 2-time champion, back to back.

Speaking to Sky Sports , Binotto said: "I am happy that Mercedes are back. They were very competitive today in the race. It is great for the championship but they can take off some points as well to our direct competitors."

Enzo sh.t all over his drivers,  but wasn't really characterised as a TOTAL F,KG BUFFOON.Smiley

    Re: [2022] Formula 1

Great race but w/o SC LH44 would have probably the winner, but what was going on when Checo was taking over, why did Lewis left the door wide open?

It’s a pity that the Merc is to gentle to the tires and takes to much time to heat them up…

Max was defending very hard against Mick but he proved to mature compared to last years.

Carlos was the luckiest guy out there being on pole w/o being actually the fastet man in Q3 and winning a race he’d never would have won.

Poor CL, he’s a great driver but Ferrari is doing everything to lose this WC

    https://www.planetf1.com/news/max-verstappen-smart-mick-schumacher/

So Mick was 'smart' to not get in his way when he drove like a douche.

Had Verstappen been any smarter, he wouldn't have turned into Hamilton last year at Silverstone and crashed out, and would have finished with loads of points and wrapped up the title early, and not carry around an asterisk with his title.

Could it be that Horner again is using some bendy parts on the car, like last year's bendy wing?

Yup looking like it, RedBull and potentially Ferrari as well.  Genius of Adrian Newey if he foresaw the issue and engineered a passive fix.   Like I said they all play the game, Horner trying to position Mercedes as whiners trying to change rules, complaining about the second stay they put on, the whole time creating a smoke screen to new bendy bits that you couldn't see on his cars.  Its all part of the game as I said.

Im truly curious how much the teams budget in the budget cap era to investigating and analyzing each others cars and performance?  Like RedBull I believe were they ones who officially "protested" the Ferrari engine a fews years back, Mercedes on the RedBull Flexi wing, all required engineering cycles to find, analyze and the present.

    Re: [2022] Formula 1

So what does this mean, will Red Bull & Ferrari be punished and do they need to change their floors?

In case they need to this might be a huge shift towards Merc and might bring Lewis 9th title which he was stripped LY by Masi‘s poor decision making

That’s rich considering Mercedes’ move to add a second stay to stabilize its flexible floor in Canada.

No punishment, just from the French Grand Prix onwards the clarification will take effect and teams not in compliance will have to be in compliance from that point forward or will face penalties at that point forward.  Teams not in compliance now will quietly make changes before then and the difference will come out in delta times between the teams.  But there is so much noice with upgrades, track changes etc, may be hard to know who was impacted more than others.  Often it's not obvious, the exception being in 2019 when RedBull "protested" fuel flow, and all of sudden Ferrari engine performance fell back to rest of pack for rest of season.

Yes, he is the master of reading between the lines, hence why he is so good. If something isn't specified as black and white, he WILL see grey and try and paint 50 shades of grey out of it.

F1 will miss him once he decided to hang up his boots. Or pen for that matters. Every other designers are just to rigid and not think outside the box enough.

No sympathy for Mercedes, they thought outside enough to have a zero sidepod concept yet overlooked the floor.

Newey, and in a way, Ferrari designers, realized a while ago that the floor will flex and they can use that to their advantage. So when the floor flexes, they provide the optimum downforce, in the Red Bull's case, but a tad too much in the Ferrari, hence they were bouncing quite hard. Mercedes designed theirs to run optimally when it's NOT flexing, so once they start flexing, the car becomes uncontrollable, or underivable in certain driver's words.

    Re: [2022] Formula 1

As many already realize, the driver's championship in F1 is just an illusion for entertainment purposes... the driver's and constructor's championships are in reality both constructor's championships with different point allocation rules, the rest matters little at the end of the season.

Exactly. The old IROC race was great for this, basically take a bunch of identical cars, put the drivers into them and see what happens.
