    Re: SL depreciation

Come on guys these are bargains, except from the Cayenne and I am not kidding. This is one of the reasons I left Denmark, though I will be back one day..

    Golf GTI: 55 500 Euro
    Chevrolet Corvette C6: 177 000 Euro
Porsche Cayenne Turbo: 298 000 Euro
    Porsche 997S: 247 000 Euro
SL 65 AMG: 607 000 Euro - sorry could not find the sl55 price

    Again these are std prices.

just for the fun of it the theoretic SLR price is 1,3 mill euros...

Didn't belive it at first, but that is (or was, before I checked) unbelievable.. Congratulation on "the-world-most-unwanted-record" Denmark.

    Re: SL depreciation

A Porsche CGT is actually about 1.34 million EUR in Denmark.

    A SL55AMG is about 376,000 EUR. A Gallardo is about 445,000 EUR.

I have a few friends who are now really living it large in the US and Germany compared to their lifestyle in Denmark (in terms of the cars they own there).

They used to drive BMW 5 series, MB E-classes, SLKs and Boxsters, when living in Denmark - all of which are considered quite up-scale.

Nowadays the guy in the US has an SL55, Infinity QX56 and a 745li.

The guy in Germany has a 996C4s convertible, 997S and an Audi A8 4.2

Their financial situation has improved over the years but nonetheless it is primarily the prices of the cars plus the income tax conditions which are making it possible.

It's amazing that you guys put up with those levels of taxes. All of a sudden, in the US, $79,000 USD for a 997S and $122,000 USD for an SL55 doesn't sound so bad.

Ok you guys win, although it made me feel a bit better, that I'm not the only one paying out my behind for a nice car! Seems to me Denmark is the worst by FARR!!!
