Wasn't Kimble supposed to be in jail? Ah well.. before anybody hands 30k to Schmitz, please consider all the worthy individuals on the Rennteam Boxster board.. they'd buy you at least dinner once or twice, whereas Kimble will take the money and surf away without a trace.

After a publicity stunt in which Kimble planned an online suicide in light of these recent charges, police were able to catch up with him living it up in Bangkok.

I think people over-rate "Kimble". He was dumb enough to make a lot of money with his talents and then throw it all away. He showed off, he spent money like kids eating free candy, in my opinion this guy is just a victim of his own ego and self-esteem problems. I pitty him, not more and not less.
As far as I remember, he served some time in a german prison and moved to Hong Kong from where he started some sort of business again. There is a love-hate relationship between him and the german press/public but to be honest: if he is dumb enough to put himself again on the main pages, he deserves getting in trouble again.
If this guy would have kept his work, business and activities at a low level, he would be a very wealthy person by now. But some people just don't have the brains to know when to stop...sad.
Would I trust him? He may be a generous friend and maybe he's even a good person but he should really think about his past. If he does it all again, I wouldn't even pitty him anymore.

If the rallye happens it's going to be a real riot no doubt. Thierry Sabine loose on tarmac! Losing the 15k pre-entry fee won't financially kill most of the contestants in case the thing blows up, so they can essentially relax, hope and look forward to the potential fun event.
Agree that it doesn't hurt to be aware of Kimble's "Schall und Rauch" history.. plenty of hot air and little substance. Money for himself and his friends but no love for his investors. Of course the Sunday morning MFD Kimble meet&greet days are long gone, and there's always a chance for personal development... or so I've read in a magazine.
