Spacers
Widen the track at front and rear to enhance the appearance of your Porsche. Centring elements on either side of each spacer ensure a perfect union with wheel and hub. The 5-mm set includes anti-theft wheel bolts, while the 17-mm set comes with the requisite wheel nuts.
4 x 5 mm:

2 x 17 mm:
Part no. 000 044 500 10

I have them on my 986 S with the GT3 rims, and it does look better with them. I bought the car second hand, and I did not add them myself...but I was always wondering why my car looked a bit better - seriously, I was wondering whether I had the 'my kid look good syndrom' :-) I parked it next to a friend, also having a 986 S with 18" too (Carrera's) but WITHOUT the spacers. And it DOES make a difference...

So, which one do you have?
No handling difference in corners?

Besides added unsprung weight, Porsche designs track of their cars for optimum performance given than model's characteristics and spacers will change that and articifially (no chasis or suspension design complimentary modifications), so I don't see a positive side in handling, but I don't know HOW much it does affect it since I don't have any first hand experience with them.

I think you would notice some change in handling since you're only changing 1 component of the suspension geometry, it's bound to affect the handling in some way. If it were me, I'd only put the spacers on the front. If you widen the track at the front and keep the rear the same, it should reduce understeer to some degree. I run 235's on the front of my car while keeping the rear tires stock at 265 and I get a lot less understeer than if I were using 225's on the front. Granted this is 20mm worth of rubber vs. 10mm (5 per side) of spacers, but I think there would be some handling benefit.

I'm surprised that Porsche sells stuff like this. Why don't they decrease wheel offset from beginning? If they admit it makes the car look better without any additional cost, they should've done it. IMHO. Spacers are for either Kids modding Japanese cars or real racers adjusting front and rear tread width.
