    Rear hatch glass keeps popping out, solution

    Is there a solution to fix the rear hatch keeps popping out?

    I tried to open the hatch and sometimes it got stuck, when its opened, it kept making the noise like it was going to open the hatch. When I drive the car, it says "Key not found" all the time.

    Is there a tsb to this?

    Remove the cable from the lock (it is under the plastic cover) and make sure it doesn't interfere with the rear wiper mechanism. Leave it this way until Porsche finds a final solution. Right now, all microswitches seem defective but they're working on that. Seems to be a supplier problem.

    yeah, we had the hatch (rear glass) popping open all the time problem. this is one they apparently had a TSB for and were therefore able to fix several months ago. it hasn't happened since.

    Sage advice... dismantle the problem. I used to do this with my 1973 VW bug as a teenager, and it worked every time.

    I had the "fix" applied too...until it happened again a few weeks ago. When I asked them to exchange the microswitch, they told me that it seems that all are defective and that I should wait for a "final" fix. Now I'm waiting...

    Ben: I will get it fixed with the tsb.

    I guess this is the same problem with the microswitch for the rear wheel holder

    So annoying...

    ben, the last time the switch has been exchanged was last summer. Now a few weeks ago it happened again like I mentioned. When asking for another "new" switch, they advised to leave the lock disconnected until a "final" fix is available because the current microswitches apparently aren't 100% reliable. I don't want the rear hatch to open itself again while my car is somewhere outside, for example during our short Italy vacation.

    Ben, yours doesn't happen, BECAUSE you live with your car in SUNNY San Diego!

    It IS HAPPENING for all of us again living in a location with the REAL snow/rain and temperature drops/jumps including humidity, like in NYC,Boston, Munich and etc.

    ...just IN YOUR case problem DID NOT manifest again. It will, if you wait for colder/rainy weather...Such weather will ALLOW this chip to rust quickly...

    I think you will find that a comfort control unit in malfunctioning. Not the microswitch.

    But hey, what do I know.

    interesting info. fwiw, i live less than 400 yrds from the ocean and the cayenne sits outside (where it belongs). so i would think the rusty thing would happen to me fairly easily, no? as well, we just had the second or third wettest rainy season in CA history.
