Agreed, offered the dealership my 2022 GT3 at a reasonable below market price and still can't get a 4RS allocation.  Talking to the dealer principal Monday....fingers crossed.

    Re: GT4RS

Hmm, that would be some form of nice profit off the GT3 for the dealership, you should have stand a good chance there

The production of my 4RS has been pushed back by 2 weeks.

    Re: GT4RS

This excessive exuberance regarding the GT4RS is puzzling.
From a performance standpoint, there a several Porsche models that outperform the Gt4RS.
The exhaust sound isn’t any better than other Porsche models.
The car on the road looks smaller. It’s a Boxster on steroids.
Visually it looks gussied up the a host of exterior attachments.trying to mimic the GT3RS. Basically a very little brother.

Is that from the initial date ? If so, it  is not too bad. Mine was pushed about 3  weeks.

    Haha.

There is noise regulations everywhere now, so instead of a louder exterior exhaust sound, Porsche has shifted to focus on the intake roar inside the car.

The GT4RS is more nimble than any Porsche cars. the advantage of it being mid-engined. Being smaller is an advantage, not everyone wants a giant beetle. I can drive a 911 very fast, I can place it almost perfectly, it's a nice feeling to be able to conquer the rear engine layout, but mid engine cars have a different feel to it and it's nicer.

I have the hots for this thing ever since I first saw the prototype in person a few years ago at Weissach, touched it, feel it. Right there I know I had to have one. Doesn't matter if there are more expensive models, more exclusive models in the Porsche line up, it is a must have car for me. The only other Porsches that I felt the same way was the Exclusive turbo S and the 94 turbo 3.6. Not even the 918 was in that category.

Agreed, it is the perfect small package.  For sheer driving fun I’m certain it would be hard to beat.  Enjoy!

    Re: GT4RS

I think it's a very cool car and I can understand why some people think this is the best offering in years.

If I was going to be really petty and look for reasons to complain, I would say that it would make the perfect car for the road, except it's a little too stiff and has no Manual gearbox option.

And I would say it's the perfect car for the track, except it has a suspension (4 struts and narrow front track with only 8.5" wheels) that keep it from handling as well as it should at full cornering load and it costs pretty much the same as the GT3 which is the better track car for some people.

The things that make this car particularly (uniquely) cool in my eyes are the superb gearing (best ratios of any Porsche), the massive intake noise, and the small proportions (close to same size as 992 on outside, but much more intimate and racy on the inside).

Nice - it's been awfully hot here lately and air is not very healthy (lots of Ozone warnings), in case one of the cars is a convertible.  Still nice in the mountains though, if you decide to continue West a few miles...

    A friend who owns a 992 GT3 tried a GT4 RS on track.

His comments were : hugely fun car to drive. Noise intake is madness. See it as a future collector.

He still prefers his GT3 because of the better torque, better front axle and better stability.  But finds the 4RS more playful as the car moves around a little bit but not in a scary manner even with the aids turned off.

Good news. I hope there will not be further change like they did for me. Delivery was supposed to be around the 14th July. On the 18 of July my dealer gets informed that my car is pushed back to end of august.

Wow - will those slots be replaced in time or just gone?

This won't affect yours though, right?  Coming soon?

The canceled slots are the ones that were supposed to be delivered in 2023. For the moment they have no info about replacing them or just gone. I can imagine it all will depend on production capacities.  If the supplier chain is working properly again, I can't see why they would not give the canceled slots back.

Mine should come by the end of this month.
