I'm not disppointed with the looks of the 997 C4S but then I never thought the 997 C2S needed an improvement. Let's face it, the 996 C4S was styled the way it was to improve the looks of the 996 which many thought were frumpy - nothing more to it than that. Many who drive Porsche's for status also appreciated the obvious distinction and presumably didn't mind the resemblance to the flagship 911. I sense some of those sentiments surfacing here . . .

I agree with others who have hoped for form to follow function. Was there really a need to widen the hips by 44 mm? I thought the 911 Turbo was wider to accommodate the engine . . .

I do miss the wide rear red reflector, and I wish it were available on all 911's. I think it's just a unique 911 trademark from the "old" days. As has already been suggested, the lines of the body molding do not lend themselves to it on the 997.

Given how great the C2S already is, it seems that Porsche is having a hard time improving.
