My biggest objection is also the weight and the need to have a slushbox torque-converter automatic gearbox.  Unfortunately (like the Manual Porsche GT4 gearbox, it cannot handle the torque of their highest spec motor, so automatic only).

My hope is that the next generation M2 will also have a CSL version that is truly lightweight, smaller, and has a choice of Manual gearbox (which will make it lighter still and maybe more fun to drive).

I dit not realize this !! Smiley  The gearbox in the original CSL was bad too, looks like a remake then.

Manual M2 CSL would be such a great product.
