When the 997 sport classic came out, it was called a '' parts bin '' and not considered special enough. Lots of criticism.

Today it is highly valued, just look at the prices .

Same will happen with this car.

Back then, there were rumours of using the GT3 engine in the Sport Classic, right? That would‘ve made the car more special.

The 992 iteration after all has a drivetrain configuration that is unique in the line-up. At least for now. Knowing Porsche I‘d be curious if they will use it in another model.

Nonetheless, great car.

Right. People were disappointed that the GT3 engine was not used but instead it was only a Carrera S with X51option  engine. Nothing you could not get in the 997 range.

With this 992, the engine is more special. It is even unique, considering it comes marched with a manual transmission.

Unless of course if Porsche decides to „ramp up“ the ordinary Turbos with a RWD version to get speculation  prices down…by the way, it seems some „people“ are just buying cars on production numbers…remember the famous all black 991 edition nobody actually wanted them, now, these command higher prices than the same ordinary specced 991 without the all black badge…
